Before the event
- Run the built-in test recording from Setup to verify camera and microphone.
- Plug the iPad into power — the booth runs all night.
- Lock the iPad into the app with Guided Access (Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access, then triple-click the top button in the app).
- Dim venue? Set the ring light to Bright in Setup.
Getting your videos off the iPad
- Every event has its own folder: Files app → On My iPad → Booth → Events. Inside are All Messages (everything, in order) and a folder per recipient.
- Mac: connect by cable, open Finder, choose the iPad → Files → drag the event folder out.
- Or use Open clips in Files from the event recap — it jumps straight to tonight's folder.
- Past events are never overwritten — a new event always gets a new folder.
Purchases
- An Event Pass unlocks the current event and survives restarts and reinstalls mid-event.
- Booth Pro subscribers and Lifetime owners: tap Restore purchases on the unlock screen after moving to a new iPad.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
